CORONAVIRUS UPDATE - the Extraordinary Measures No. 20/2020 and No. 21/2020

Dear clients,

We inform you that the Extraordinary Measures No. 20/2020 and No. 21/2020 of the Regional Hygiene Station of the Moravian-Silesian region in Ostrava were issued, with effect from 14 August 2020, 12:00 PM.

For a complete list of obligations and the full wording of protective measures, we refer you to the website of Regional Hygiene Station.

The most important information is that in the entire Moravian-Silesian Region, employers no longer have the obligation to prevent cross-border workers who do not submit a medical certificate of passing the PCR test for SARS-CoV-2 with a negative result every 14 days in entering the workplace.

The obligation to test cross-border employees set by the protective measure of the Ministry of Health, about which we have informed you here, is still valid.

FURTHER OBLIGATIONS:

Extraordinary measure No. 20/2020 (territories of Bílovec, Bohumín, Český Těšín, Frenštát pod Radhoštěm, Havířov, Hlučín, Karviná, Kopřivnice, Kravaře, Nový Jičín, Odry, Opava, Orlová, Ostrava, Vítkov and all municipalities for which they carry out extended powers) - the full wording of all obligations is available here.

  • the obligation to wear respiratory protective equipment indoors no longer applies
  •  no special obligations are imposed on employers

Extraordinary measure No. 21/2020 (Frýdek-Místek, Frýdlant nad Ostravicí, Třinec, Jablunkov and all municipalities for which they exercise extended powers) - full wording of all obligations is available here.

In addition to the general obligation to wear respiratory protective equipment indoors, there are still some restrictions that are important for employers:

  •  to ensure that employees in production companies do not meet each other when changing shifts, if possible
  •  to ensure that employees maitain a distance of 2 meters between each other in one shift, if possible, and
  •  to minimize contact between employees during meals and personal hygiene in sanitary facilities
