Martin Šlampa is an attorney at FORLEX. He specialises in litigation and is a registered mediator. He represents clients in a wide range of commercial disputes as well as in administrative proceedings and proceedings before administrative courts. He also focuses on representing clients in tax disputes with the tax administration.
Martin Šlampa has represented clients in, among others, disputes arising from contracts for works (including multi-million-dollar arbitrations concerning major investment units), protection against unfair competition, damage claims for breach of competition law, corporate disputes between shareholders and many others. Martin Šlampa also participated in the development of the practice of representing clients in tax disputes with the tax administration and successfully defended clients' rights in the area of income tax, VAT and excise taxes.
Martin Šlampa began his professional career as an assistant to Judge Jan Passer of the Supreme Administrative Court (currently a judge of the Court of Justice of the EU). Subsequently, he worked for six years at HAVEL & PARTNERS as an associate, attorney and then senior attorney. Subsequently, he worked as the head of the legal department at České přístavy, a.s. and as a senior counsel at Liberty Ostrava a.s., where he dealt mainly with contractual matters and disputes arising from commercial and energy law. After returning to the bar, he joined forces with FORLEX to further develop our litigation agenda, including administrative court proceedings and tax disputes.
