BIO

Jiří Večerka is an attorney at FORLEX. He focuses primarily on mergers & acquisitions, litigation, corporate and contract law.

In the area of mergers and acquisitions, Jiří Večerka has been involved in a number of transactions both on the sellers and buyers side, particularly in the agricultural, engineering and healthcare sectors.

In the area of corporate law, Jiří Večerka focuses on the day-to-day agenda of corporate governance, as well as on structural changes, transformations, incorporations and liquidations.

In the area of contract law, Jiří Večerka has been involved in drafting and commenting on contractual and other documentation in various fields, in particular information technology, transactions in various industries, international transport and others.

He is a graduate of Law and Legal Science at the Faculty of Law, Charles University in Prague. During his studies, he passed the Cambridge English Qualifications exam at the highest level C2, completed a one-semester study at the School of Law at the University of Nottingham and worked as a legal assistant in several international law firms in Prague, focusing mainly on civil law matters.

He has decided to continue his work in this area in Ostrava after successful graduation and started working as an associate in early 2020. From 2021 as an associate, and then from 2024 as an attorney at FORLEX, where he is currently involved in providing legal advice to domestic and foreign clients.

• Participation in domestic and international M&A transactions, including, in particular, participation in the acquisition of a major supplier of capital equipment and engineering services in the energy sector, and      the acquisition of major agricultural companies
• Provision of legal advice on corporate transformations, restructuring of holding groups, share capital increases (including in-kind contributions), comprehensive legal services for general meetings of companies, amendment of incorporation documents, incorporation of companies, preparation and review of shareholder agreements
• Advising on real estate transactions (especially real estate development and individual acquisitions)
• Comprehensive legal advice in a number of civil disputes, including domestic and international transport
• Advising major international companies on negotiating contractual documentation and terms of business cooperation
